ActivePivot’s object-oriented architecture makes it easy to set up, integrate and highly amenable to customisations and extensions.
ActivePivot's in-memory OLAP engine has been developed using a true component approach, to facilitate deployment and cross-services integration. It seamlessly integrates with any architecture and runs on any platform such as Windows, UNIX, Linux, and across all technology environments.
ActivePivot is object-oriented and does not impose a proprietary format for incoming objects. It can integrate with any data sourceand supports most standards including databases, files, message buses or bespoke feeds.
Business logic can be user based for simple formulas (MDX standard is supported), or be easily implemented through Java where possibilities for building customisable logic are endless.
It can output analytical data through standards (MDX/XMLA, webservices) and to its own collaborative web-based user
interface, ActivePivot Live.
ActivePivot is cost efficient as it does not require any additional database. It fits on top of your existing system, pulls information into the in-memory OLAP engine, performs real-time analytics and can feed back analysis data. Investment-wise, ActivePivot runs on slightly boosted, multi-core servers with extended RAM. Such machines require a significantly smaller investment, compared to the expensive appliances typical of current in-memory industry solutions.
